TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has already helped block one of former President Donald Trump’s allies from winning the Republican nomination for governor in a crucial battleground state. Now he’s hoping for a repeat in his own backyard.

Ducey is part of a burgeoning effort among establishment Republicans to lift up little-known housing developer Karrin Taylor Robson against former television news anchor Kari Lake, who is backed by Trump. Other prominent Republicans, including former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, have also lined up behind Robson in recent days.

That's because anyone who's halfway sane would reject Karri Lake. She got canned from her job as a talking head on the news and decided to run for governor instead. She's a vacuous opportunist that makes Trump look like a genius. Robson is the voice of reason by comparison.

Lake joined the NRA last year and now touts she's a "lifetime" member. She donated heavily to the Obama campaign and was a slathering, friendly voice on television to him. Now she's saying she has always opposed the Progressive agenda. She's nothing but another POS politician.

Of course, given how things are going right now, if she does win the nomination I'll hold my nose and vote for her rather than put some total tard Democrat in office. The last Democrat we had as governor was Janet "Nappy" Napolitano. What a fucking trainwreck she was.
 
Let me add this:

I just got the sample primary ballot for both the Democrats and Republicans in the mail. The Democrats--at least in the district I'm in in Arizona are totally ass fucked, dry, and hard.

For governor their only candidate I know by name is Katie Hobbs. The other two on the Democrat ticket are unknowns. There is no--NO--one running for seats on the state senate or house at all in District 27 where I live. Those are going to the Republicans by default.

School superintendent Kathy Hoffman--a Progressive Democrat who's all about more money for schools being a union hack is going to get crushed by Tom Horne who wants to end woke and radical Leftist shit in our schools and has a track record to prove he'll do it.

Half the Democrat ticket is blank. Nobody's running for the offices at all. Mark Kelly is unchallenged for US Senate and he's in a serious uphill battle to keep his seat. In the US House race, the Democrats aren't even running a candidate!

That means Debbie Lesko will be reelected no matter whether she's good or awful. The Republicans will retain that seat.

The Democrats in Arizona are absolutely ass raped this year, and the ballot proves it.
