A nurse died and four people were injured Tuesday in a stabbing attack at an East Texas medical complex.


A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder in the stabbings, which happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Ambulatory Surgical Center of Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.


Gregg County Jail booking records show Kyron Rayshawn Templeton of Longview is also accused of four counts of aggravated assault. His bond has been set at $2.6 million.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office today ruled a homicide the death of a man found shot inside his Homewood house.



Virgil Bookert's brother called police after he came to the 50-year-old man's Stoneville Street home about 3:45 p.m. and found him dead inside. The medical examiner's office said he had gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

The Arcata Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning and claimed the life of a man in his 50s.

Humboldt County Deputy Coroner Roy Horton said his office is currently withholding the identity of the man, pending notification of his family. Horton said the man was an Arcata resident, originally from Minnesota.


Horton said the homicide occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Monday, at 12th and H streets. The man was transported by ambulance to Mad River Community Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police in Cambridge are investigating an apparent murder at an apartment building on Broadway.


“I’m wondering how did it happen,” said Tawanna Rezendes. “Or who did it.”


Rezendes says she is a friend of the 73-year-old victim.

Buffalo police have identified the body of a female found in a burning car and ruled her death a homicide.


The victim was identified as Desirae James, 30, of Buffalo, said Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards.


Firefighters responded to a car fire at around 1:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 78 Swinburne Street, police said.


The woman’s body was discovered in the 2004 Pontiac, as firefighters were extinguishing the blaze.


An autopsy performed by the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the death was a homicide.

A 57-year-old man was found partially clothed in a pool of blood in a driveway on the 200 block of Cypress Avenue on Tuesday morning.


The victim suffered multiple stab wounds, multiple knives were found in the area and there were signs of a struggle, Deputy Chief Steve Clark said. He wouldn't elaborate where the victim was stabbed or how long he was there.
