Goldman Sachs boosts pay for Blankfein, 4 others

NEW YORK (AP) — Goldman Sachs has more than tripled the salary of CEO Lloyd Blankfein to $2 million, and also granted raises to four other top executives.

The investment bank (GS) said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday that its board's compensation committee set the new base salary for Blankfein, effective Jan. 1. His previous salary had been $600,000.

The committee set salaries at $1.85 million for four other executives. They are Chief Operating Officer Gary Cohn; Chief Financial Officer David Viniar and Vice Chairmen Michael Evans and John Weinberg.

thanks to us tax payers

Just because tax payers bailed the banks out from imminent bankruptcy does not mean that that market system is broken in any way whatsoever.

Now, let us not mention this "taxpayer bailout" again.

Look to the future.

Not smart enough to burn my principles in a ceremonial pyre, embrace Satan and his many evil goblins, and take the shilling of an investment banking Empire.

In hindsight, i should have listened to my mother and nurtured a deep-seated hatred for humankind alongside an insatiable desire for ever-increasing amounts money and limitless power.

Ho-hum.

Do the latter financial flaws necessitate the former misanthropic flaws, Charver?

YEs. because it means the "free market" zealotry you fascists made your religion is a rigged game. When bankers and their friends deem themselves unable to fail, they are becoming tyrants. And while it may not fully justify hating all humans, it can create temporary angers of disillusionment when the real reality is noticed.
