Go to Jail or Go to Church

Yet the convicted is indeed given a choice, hence you are incorrect.

read this slowly 10 times.

For a contract to be treated as a contract of adhesion, it must be presented on a standard form on a "take it or leave it" basis, and give one party no ability to negotiate because of their unequal bargaining position.

that is exactly what i said. choice is illusory. it is a take it or leave choice and one party has no ability to negotiate. i'm getting of having to educate you on such simple concepts. perhaps i should put back on ignore.

just answer the question. NOTHING was implied.

The question has nothing to do with the issue.....the judge is not asking for a contractual agreement....he is giving the guilty party a choice of punishment...its been done for hundreds of years.....10 days or 10 dollars ...remember that ole saying...

Utah's giving the person to be executed a choice of firing squad or lethal injection....is this unConstitutional ?

Outcome is irrelevant....

so once again, would you be ok with a muslim judge giving the choice of jail or mosque for a year?

it is a question, nothing is implied, a simple yes or no will suffice.

btw, i said it is LIKE, not that it is.

so you would be ok if a muslim judge said jail or mosque?

this is unconstitutional. there is no real choice. it is like a contract of adhesion. choice is illusory.

Yes, Yurt, it is LIKE a contract of adhesion, but not. How much choice does any convict have when standing before a judge at a sentencing?

Generaly none, yet in this case, they ARE given a choice; Jail or church. Those are the TWO OPTIONS.

Yeah...and my thumb is like my big toe, not that it is..

No......he could not mandate WHAT church you must attend....again, its your choice, so in fact you have 3 choices to make....jail, church, and what church

Now...is Utah's giving the person to be executed a choice of firing squad or lethal injection....is this unConstitutional ?

Is 10 days or 10 dollars unConstitutional ?

you're hopeless. what kind of choice is that? there is no bargaining power, choice is illusory. it impermissible violation of the first amendment. that you don't understand that speaks volumes to your intelligence.

pathetic dodge. so you don't support the choice of choosing what religion you must attend, but you have no problem with "church" on SUNDAY which is clearly christian.

you've showed yourself to be a hypocrite.

So how come you won't answer my questions....
