Shaken, not stirred!
What I find utterly fascinating about the wailing against Obama's proposal to close Gitmo (in 2017) from the GOP and it's punditry and public peanut gallery is the FACT that conveniently forget the Bush administration releasing about 500 Gitmo "detainees" after 3 years of "interrogation" with little to no explanation to the American people. (whew! talk about a run-on sentence!)
They pretend that these folk just trucked back home and went back to their daily lives like nothing had happened.
yeah, right. No one was pissed, no one looked to sign up with Al Qaeda, no one became ISIS converts. Right, they just accepted a return to poverty (no jobs), broken families, etc., and forgot about all those nifty little "interrogations" that no one wanted to call "torture".
And yet.
Those detainees released under Obama are given front page coverage as to the few that are "tracked" in joining terrorist organizations.
Interesting.
