Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman nominated for U.S. vice president by a major political party, died today at age 75 after a long battle with blood cancer.

Ferraro ran with Democratic candidate Walter Mondale in the 1984 election; they lost to President Ronald Reagan and running mate George H.W. Bush.

She was a featured guest on cable news from time to time...especially this past presidential election where Hillary was running as well as Palin on Mc Cain's ticket.

She was a contributor on Fox News from time to time. Other than that, I do not believe so.

I didn't agree with her on many issues, but I always liked her as a person. This is sad news.
