George Soros Buying Liberal Media

Lets see, two million dollars coming from Soros or one of his liberal fronts giving money to liberal media groups. So who is trying to control the media???



George Soros, a millionaire philanthropist, donated $1 million dollars today to the group Media Matters.

Politics Daily said that Media Matters will be using the money to boosts its efforts to fact check Fox News, as well as to hold Fox accountable for their statements.

NPR has received a $1.8 million grant from the Open Society Foundations to begin a project called Impact of Government that is intended to add at least 100 journalists at NPR member radio stations in all 50 states over the next three years.

The reporters, editors and analysts will cover state governments and how their actions affect people.
 
To clarify: For years the righties (wrongly) complained about Soros funding Media Matters and now that he actually is funding Media Matter the righties are complaining. And for years the righties have complained about public funding for NPR and are now complaining about private donations to NRP?

To clarify, Media Matters has been in bed with Soros for years, he just finally came out of the closet and admitted it.

Regarding NPR, glad they are getting donations, lets stop the government funding of them, since they are bought and paid for by liberals.
 
just remember if you push for the fairness doctrine/equal time it effects not only radio but television. could backfire bad for the liberals. Last I checked Right owned the radio but left owned the television and print.

Soros, or one of his fronts, has always supported liberal media....and where is the report that righties (or anyone) is complaining about private donations to NRP?
I'd like to read about that accusation....and who "the righties" are.
 
So by all means, lets clarify....."righties" were absolutely correct in saying Soro's money was funding Media Matters...Soros to MoveOn to Media Matters doesn't change the source....
And....NPR, being a liberal propaganda outlet it is, should not under any circumstance, be getting funding from public taxes....

FNC's sworn enemy, Media Matters, cared so much over the years when conservative pundits accused them of being funded by the Hungarian billionaire and political activist. But care they did, and they spent years vigorously denying it (while Soros hadn't yet directly donated, groups he backed like MoveOn.com had supported Media Matters). Now, however, it's official: George Soros has donated $1 million directly to the watchdog group.
