He has a masters in International Affairs and another in Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

He is. He has repeatedly injected himself into political positions held by administrations rather than be the military advisor to politicians he's supposed to be.

Amazing how many of Trump's former aides say disparaging things about him now. These are his aides, his advisors. The people who worked closely with him shoulder-to-shoulder. So many of them saying Trump is incompetent, ignorant, dangerous.

No, I said he was overstepping his bounds. Generals are not politicians. When they become politicians and inject themselves into political decisions they have overstepped their bounds. Like it or not, the CinC of the military is the President, and if he wants X done by the military then that's what the military does. You saw the military carry out Biden's disastrous decisions to withdraw from Afghanistan. They did as ordered.

Milley, like MacArthur before him, decided to inject himself into the politics of decision making. That wasn't his job. His position was to advise the President on military matters, not make political decisions about military matters.
