The son, Seif al-Arab Muammar el-Qaddafi, 29, and the grandchildren, all said to be younger than 12, were possibly the first confirmed casualties in the airstrikes on the Libyan capital. And while the deaths could not be independently verified, the campaign against Libya’s most densely populated areas raised new questions about how broadly NATO is interpreting its United Nations mandate to protect civilians.

Interesting. I wonder if they got a burial at sea, apparently that is the tradition and stuffs. ;)

I know the news about bin Laden has rightfully garnered all the media attention...but this is big news too. An airstrike on Qaddafi's home that kills 3 young children when we are purportedly not into "bombing a residence" in order to not kill innocents???

Yeah, I'm sorry for interrupting your serious thread with my tasteless joke pointing out that Osama is getting all the attention...

There's no contradiction at all. If a strike is ordered by a guy with an R after his name, its bad...

There used to be a poster on here and on various other sites, who claimed a hatred of Bush; that he was evil because he used air strikes and drones that killed innocents and especially children. That we should never support a president who could do such things-that by doing so we too are evil...and yet... That's right, now that the Obama is in office it has become magically delicious :D

It was a simple question; not trying to "cover" anything. A yes or no would have sufficed...

No, a yes would not have sufficed...since technically it was a NATO decision...that's the cover.

Are you OK with this kind of military action against someones residence where women and children are likely to be living?

Nope. Residences & innocents are off limits.

NATO's story is that it was a command center.

So far, I have seen no evidence whatsoever that Obama ordered the strike, though...

That's your point quite often, and it's a narrative that is clearly a priority for you. However, there is not much foundation for it at times....

I make the distinction because of peon apologists-It would be great if the misinformation and hatred from the left did not exist like the putrid stinking crap hole it is.

Now we have NATO forces breaking with international law and bombing private residences. We hear absolutely no outrage about that from the left. Why, because they are flaming hypocrites.

Instead we have the biggest Hypocrite in Chief creating cover for himself, so apologist's such as you, can come out and ask banal questions in order to appear in a positive light...hypocrite!
