Reality is the ultimate test of our theories, and war is the harshest reality. If the Ukraine was very corrupt, Russia would have been able to overrun it quickly. Meanwhile, the much bigger, more powerful Russia is the one who is being overrun slowly, because it is amazingly corrupt.
