Not particularly, but like you I realize that AA is not going anywhere and am pragmatic enough to put forward an idea that, IMO, is better.

Your problem is the disconnect from "lists are bad" to "lists are bad but get better if I'm included".

The lists are bad, it centralizes in people's minds a divide specifically by and for the same reason they thought to need a law to begin with. You don't fix racism by dividing everybody into "race" and other divisive means.

You're getting it wrong. It's always been EXCLUSIONARY lists are bad. An all inclusive list would perfectly ok.

Basically, I think you've been trained well by your government masters to depend on the government. But since you have I am willing to understand you think that there is no recourse but to have some form of AA. Since there is no other recourse, let's make it so it doesn't create the divide based on something we wish to eliminate.

The problem is, you are swimming against the stream. You won't be able to get the white man added to the list because the reason the list exists is because of white guys. However there is a real chance to get it changed to reflect socioeconomic status rather than "race" because it is far more a determining factor of success than any tan line.

Most jobless people are poor.

Should it be based on family crest?
