The invasion of Iraq was illegal and all the participants, from Bush and Blair on down, are guilty of war crimes, breaches of international law, the Geneva Conventions and their UN Charter pledges.
They have gotten away with it because they are the powerful.
Because they are powerful they are able to stifle comment and reports condemning their crimes . They own the media and cover their asses with lies.
However, they were unable to silence Wikileaks, an organization of investigative journalism which wanted the world to know the depths to which our low-life governments had sunk , their war crimes, their corruption , their spying on their ' allies ' and their ultimate aims of stripping Iraq's assets and protecting the obnoxious Israeli regime.
As the most prominent of these war criminals the United States and the UK have conspired to use Assange as a warning to journalists everywhere- the message being ' Watch what happens to Assange before you comment on our activities ' This is repugnant in a supposedly 'free world '
While Americans will not be expected to surround the White House in protest against the torture of Assange do you think that you might actually get off your fat asses and lodge your digital dissent in the cause of free speech ?
