Romney encouraged young Americans facing bleak job prospects to "take risks" — and even borrow money from their parents — to help improve their economic fortunes.

Mitzie actually doesn't understand that young adult children do borrow from their parents when they can. It's called "family". But most "families" can't afford the exorbitant costs of advanced education these days so the kids are left to their own devices. And many, especially in the poor to middle income classes, don't have much "family" to start with. I'm certain Mitzie won't be earning many votes with that ignorant quip.
Don't many conservatives regard debt negatively?
Would paradox be the correct word?
Perhaps "hypocrisy" would be more apt.
