Wiener says he isn't going to resign or halt his re-election campaign, despite the controversy over photos of him in a Philippines red-light district.


Calls for the Republican's resignation have grown since the Albuquerque Journal published the photos showing him posing with young women in a Philippine city known for prostitution.


The Albuquerque Journal carried his statement on the issue on its website Sunday night.


Wiener says that he will continue in office and remain a candidate for County Commission in District 4.


He acknowledges that he may have exercised poor judgment while on vacation.


But he says: "I have broken no laws and brought no harm to anyone except for myself."

Yeah we're paid by the post Ann. George Soros hires us. We can basically choose our assignments. You might think that being assigned the free republic, the daily mail, or the huffpo would pay more, but believe it or not it's JPP where the big bucks are. That's why i jumped at the chance when I saw it on the list. I've been making money hand over fist ever since.

I suppose constantly prefacing any reference to the left with "insane" is an example of your infamous civility. You set a great example in between moaning about the "insane" left being nasty. I'm going to do my best to emulate you.
 
Predictable responses from the righties, who seem willing to dismiss any and all peccadilloes as long as the perpetrator is a member of America's family values party.

I'm sure Wiener was just explaining the GOP's commitment to strengthening marriage to these young women.
