"Following up on a report from Rolling Stone about Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch souring on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' presidential prospects, the New York Times is reporting that Murdoch is pushing for another Republican governor to enter the race.

According to the Times' sources, Murdoch "has privately told people that he would still like to see Gov. Glenn Youngkin of Virginia enter the race" despite the fact that such late entries do not have a history of success."

It's about time, Rupert. Trump is a loser. He couldn't win before J6, Stormy Daniels, Georgia phone call, stolen docs indictments. He surely won't win now. Trump will continue to bring down the Republiclown party ass long as they're dumb enough to hitch their wagon to his ass.

I think the Murdochs are worried about being taken down in court. Rupert can use this to defend Fox in court against Smartmatic....not that it'll save them, but it might reduce the damages.

Murdoch should be worried, he won't be able to keep paying huge sums to settle lawsuits.

My guess is that he'll try to save his fortune by abdicating control of Fox News, if not the entire empire.

The Fox investors don't want to eat a few billion dollars in damages because of Murdoch lies.

Money is the prime motivator in many American actions. Corporations have a fiduciary duty to make profits, not lose money due to lies. Rupert, et al, will be forced to cough up the cash or bail out.

Still have to chuckle at it all, if Trump wins the nomination, as he most likely will, Murdoch will be on the Trump train quicker than a hot knife thru butter

I wouldn’t be so sure about losing, there is a third of the country who would support Trump even if he raped Mother Theresa, plus an entire political party and major news network that would work for his election

It's closer to 15%.

About 30% of US voters are Republicans. Only 60% of US voters vote. Only about 60% of Republicans support Trump. I expect that to drop as more indictments are filed against Traitor Trump.

The republican party is doing fine.

It's the democrats who are in trouble.

You lost seats in the senate, you lost the house, you lost many governorships and now your president is embroiled in scandals.

Biden's approval rating is lower than Trumps was at this point and Harris is the most unpopular VP in the history of the US.

71% of the America says the US is heading in the wrong direction.

That is unprecedented.
