Ukrainian authorities said that Major-General Oleg Mityaev, 47, died in the storming of Mariupol which has been under heavy siege by Russian troops. The general reportedly died along with seven members of an elite SWAT team in another major knock to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

The elite special operations fighters from the notorious Dzerzhinsky Division of the country’s national guard are under the direct control of the Russian president.

A picture of Mityaev's body was released by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry adviser Anton Gerashchenko.

He is the fourth Russian general to die in the war, according to Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the death of another Russian general on Tuesday evening but did not name him.

The USA will have to pay some economic costs for this war, but not as much as other countries. The cost of military aid to Ukraine is very little.

Somehow I doubt that. I doubt the Taliban has $7.5 billion of Afghan money, and I doubt Biden personally took it. We know Biden's net worth very exactly, and it is not $7.5 billion Are you sure you are not referring to aid that has been frozen. To give taxpayer dollars to the Taliban would seem to me to be more stealing than to withhold them.

The Ukrainians. Fighting for freedom. Putin was smart to do this during the Biden administration. Trump would be sending MIGs and SU300 anti aircraft missile weeks ago. He sold them Javelins well before it was fashionable for the Dems. Though the Ukrainians can probably use those blankets that Obama sent since Putin cut the power.
