On the Tom Nelson podcast, guest David Dilley – a former NOAA meteorologist – said the earth has entered a cooling period and warned the next 20 years may well be colder than the 1950s and 60s.

Dilley has more than 40 years experience in weather forecasting, and believes natural cycles dictate the earth’s climate changes and that these cycles easily trump any effects trace gas CO2 may have. Not only is climate driven by natural cyclical factors, but Dilley points out that even CO2 changes is naturally driven.

On what to expect in the future, Dilley says we are already cooling now and that the Pacific has already begun to enter a cool cycle after having been in a warm cycle for the past 40 years.

True believers assert that this emergency can be averted only by eliminating greenhouse-gas emissions. Greenhouse gases include ubiquitous water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, and above all, carbon dioxide, a gas released when fossil fuels are burned to power transportation, generate electricity, and are used to manufacture amenities of modern life.

Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere let sunlight warm the earth’s surface. But they absorb some of the heat radiation from the surface and atmosphere that would otherwise cool more efficiently by escaping directly to space. Greenhouse gases — and clouds — keep the earth’s surface temperature several tens of degrees Celsius warmer than it would be without them

He's referring to the Grand Solar Minimum mainly, as well as ocean currents such as the Pacific Decadal and North Atlantic Decadal Oscillations.

Professor David Dilley is a Meteorologist-Climatologists-Paleoclimatologist and a former NOAA National Weather Service Meteorologist. Professor Dilley is CEO of Global Weather Oscillations (GWO), a company heavily involved in research and development of technology for prediction of natural climate and weather cycles.

Normally they would. And that's what happened in the distant past. We know it from Paleoclimate studies. So we know a great deal about how the "natural forcings" work.

Only problem is: 97% of the earth's scientists can't explain the warming without including human activities.

Here's a set of graphs showing how NATURAL FORCINGS can't explain the warming since the mid 19th century, but if you include the HUMAN FORCINGS (greenhouse gas emissions, land use changes etc.) you see the trends make perfect sense.

I'd say that it is REALLY HARD to ignore human factors.

In the last National Climate Assessment produced by the Obama admin there was great emphasis placed on RCP8.5 though it was recognised even then, as near as damn it, impossible. Lo and behold, the IPCC finally removed all mention of it in their AR6 report published last year. Of the other pathways, RCP6.0 is going the same way and RCP4.5 is starting to.look wobbly, leaving only RCP2.6/3.

Oh, and as for the 97% bullshit, that was comprehensively debunked a decade ago.
