Forget Trump... what's the U.S. done to deserve Hillary?

Much as I loath Trump, I am beginning to think that Clinton would be even worse.

After Super Tuesday, the nightmare scenario has moved a step closer to reality. America is on the brink of electing a polarising president with a long history of dishonesty, scandals and shady finances. No, not Donald Trump. While the Republican front-runner was once again dominating the media coverage of the primaries, Hillary Clinton effectively sewed up the Democratic nomination.

Her sole challenger, self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders, is still in the race, but Hillary is now unstoppable. She was nailed on for the nomination before a single vote was cast. Nobody of substance was prepared to stand against her. They were all terrified of the wrath of the Clinton attack machine, which has left a trail of bodies in its wake over three decades. Nevertheless, her preordained progression towards the White House masks a distinct lack of enthusiasm on the part of the electorate. Turn-out in the Democratic primaries has been well down, compared with the wave of excitement generated by the Barack Obama bandwagon eight years ago. His optimistic ‘Yes We Can’ has been replaced by Hillary’s implied ‘It’s My Turn’. In a direct inversion of John F. Kennedy’s dictum, Mrs Clinton asks not what she can do for her country, but what it can do for her.

Hillary’s sense of entitlement dwarfs even that of our own Cherie Blair, who still bristles privately that she had to play a supporting role to her husband. But while the Wicked Witch has settled for a pot of gold and a vast property empire, Hillary has unfinished political business.

I couldn't agree more. I think that the US has begun a descent that only Sanders could have saved it from. The choice between a scorned banshee and a clockwork orange is like a script from a satirical novel- but it's real.

You mean the socialist that supports things like taxpayers paying for college for kids whose own parents won't "invest" in them? The ONLY reason Bernie gets support is because he has fooled a bunch of idiots into thinking that they are entitled to something that someone else should be forced to pay for.

Beg yer pardon there Bubba ...
But thet thar sounds like Trump...

well the Dems will; come hell or her next war. It's a long way to tipperary..

I don't think Hillary's numbers are solid. Answering a poll and actually casting a ballot are two different things so you have to wonder how many Hillary supporters will turnout. Bernie's people would definitely turnout along with Trumps people.

People on both sides are tired of being told 'these are your choices' by their respective establishments.

Those college grads would add hundreds of thousands in taxes net
