Foreigners must respect laws

China urges Australia to stop making irresponsible remarks on the Rio Tinto trial.

We express serious concerns about some comments made by the Australian side on the Rio Tinto case.

The Rio Tinto case is an individual criminal case and China's relevant judiciary department has given its verdict after the first instance trial.

The Australian side should respect the verdict and stop making irresponsible remarks.

Four defendants in the Rio Tinto case, including Australian national Stern Hu, got jail terms from seven to 14 years for bribery and stealing commercial secrets.

The verdict was handed down Monday afternoon by the Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court.

Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith reportedly said on Monday that China had missed an opportunity to clarify its laws regarding commercial secrets.

China took criminal action against someone for stealing commercial secrets?....that's amazingly funny in so many ways....it's sort of like the La Brea Tar Pits calling Frosty the Snowman black

WTF? China is guilty of more copyright infringement than any nation on earth.

If we (meaning the rest of the world) don't like something we speak up. I know China prefers the "if you say anything bad about the gov't we will execute you" philosophy, but its not gonna work on a global scale.

Put on your big girl panties and take the criticism.

Bend over China, we've rented out America's balls to Australia so now they have double huevos, and they are using a sandpaper condom.
