Please pardon my ignorance in asking this question. Would you be able to explain to a layman like me what type of economic system you would like the U.S. to have? You say you want protectionism a lot. Would this mean we go back to a time where everything is manufactored in the U.S. and we have limited importing and exporting of goods?

A lot of our tech companies are selling their goods overseas which are tying us more together economically and bringing other countries more into the 21st century. Would you like to see us limit the sales of such products which help advance foreign countries such as China and India?

I'm not being facetious or asking this in a rhetorical way. I'm just trying to understand.

I think you understand perfectly. We need more protectionism, more domestic industry, less outsourcing, less immigration. The purpose of our government is not to concern itself with the world economy, it's to protect the interests of americans within that world economy, not destroy their standard living for the short term profit of multinationals.

And considering the way we're bringing countries into the 21st century, a lot of them would be better off left alone. A nation turned into wage slaves by a corrupt dictator is not really something to proud of.

Trade policy should exist within a framework of many concerns, the lives of citizens being one of them.

Additionally, outsourcing our supply lines is a national security risk as well. Any good leader would know that if you lose control of your supply lines, your population is vulnerable.

Its too bad our leaders are sold out globalists who are hastening the destruction of america.

interestingly....azzhattle has a point

how many jobs have we lost to outsourcing....we were once a nation of industry, now...we are far less than we were because we've shipped most of the industrial jobs overseas

that does a huge disservice to the middle class....

and yes, i heard pat buchanan on the radio today and thought he made a great point about this
