Bombing North Korea not feasible. The only way it would work is if the US took out all of North Korea's launching sites at once, a near impossibility given North Korea's geography, seventy years of preparing for such an event, mobile launchers, and limited US intelligence. You bomb them, they will have time to take out South Korea, Japan, and probably any other US ally in the Far East. We would have to be willing to live with the consequences, which would also establish China as the leader of the area

Strategic limited strikes, risky. Sure it would accomplish its' immediate goal, but given North Korea's hair trigger sensitivity to attacks, it might look like an all-out attack, and trigger an all-out response (see lose of Far East allies above). At the very least, it would most likely lead to an escalating cycle of attack/counterattack which could develop into something bigger at any moment, North Korea would have the upper hand since they have nothing to lose, they don't care about how any of it effects their populace

Taking out Kim, useless. Inorder to carry out an assassination we would have to have some access to his inner circle, doubtful, and given that the people of North Korea see him as some kind of God figure, the next guy would have to avenge his death in some manner. Plus, who is to say that that next guy would be any better

Like it or not, North Korea is a problem with no solution, certainly not a military solution, it ain't as easy as dropping bombs
