How many times are we going to spend federal money to fix a vacation spot for the rich?

Richard Branson can afford to rebuild, but he will have to cook his own food, because the rest of the island was wiped out, no restaurants or supermarkets, no nothing. Unfortunately the people in florida for the most part can not afford to rebuild like the people could not afford to rebuild after Andrew... Make the keys a national park

Large parts of the Keys are already state or National park areas.

BTW, Branson's island is not a US territory.

Since only the rich can afford to rebuild without public funding after the devastation that occurs during a killer storm, and such storms are inevitable, why not auction off the entire peninsula to a property developer who will make Florida an exclusive gated community for those who can afford it - and their servants?

I'm sure the Trump family could work out a licensing deal to make the whole state a Trump-branded development. Think of the liberal tears that would inspire. :rofl2:
