Just spoken to an Iranian friend of mine, he hasn't been back in twenty years but he might go now.

An interim agreement to curb Iran's nuclear programme will enter into force on 20 January, it has been announced.
The deal, agreed in talks with world powers in November, envisages easing of some international sanctions on Tehran.
US President Barack Obama welcomed the news but said more work was needed to strike a long-term deal.

I'm always amused by the gullible assumption that despots, dictators and terrorists can be trusted to honor their word without the use of force. After all, history is littered with....such failures.

They have agreed to allow full inspections and hand in any uranium over 5% enriched. If they renege on the deal then the sanctions can be reimposed without delay. You need to stop being so cynical, as Churchill said "to jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war".

Well there you go; they have agreed to allow inspections and we can all sleep better now. After all, they wouldn't lie to us would they?

We can also fabricate a strawman that the alternative to the naive foolishness the West Displays towards despots, dictators and tyrants is war.
