Americans’ understanding of basic facts about the U.S. government declined for the first time in six years, as fewer than half in a new survey could name all three branches of government.

The Annenberg Public Policy Center’s annual Constitution Day Civics Survey found a significant drop in the percentage of Americans who could name all three branches of government — executive, legislative, and judicial — falling by 9 percentage points from a year earlier.

About a quarter of Americans surveyed could not name a single branch.

Just ask Rick Perry... "There's the Executive, the Judicial and.. there's one more.. what's the third one? OOOPS!"

LOL.. poor Rick, but he was rewarded with the agency he couldn't name under the trump admin.

One thing I learned from this forum. I used to think I was debating a particular issue, then realized the person really did not understand how government operates.

Well, not hard to see given the difference in what it takes to convince a MAGA of something. All they need is for Tucker to suggest it and it becomes, "fact". Meanwhile, we need to see hard evidence, like inventory lists of stolen documents or canceled checks signed by trump paying off port stars. And then the MAGA crowd doesn't believe "real" evidence. They're so fucked up.

Ahh the shining jewel in a crown of a leftists education system that has turned students into utter fucking morons.

Well, Trump thought the Constitution said the President can do any damn thing he wants.

I can both name them all.

Yet I think it is almost completely, irrelevant whether most Americans can name them or not.

No offense.

However - I find it far more important that most Americans do not realize (or seem to mind) that the Federal Reserve is a for-profit, privately owned corporation.
Whose shareholders are secret.
That can instantly create - without Congressional knowledge/approval - any sum of American 'money' they wish.
And give that money to virtually any person or institution that they desire...whether American or foreign.
And purchase any business/corporation they care to (whose shares are available for purchase).
Again...all without Congressional approval or knowledge.

Congratulations. It is a triumph of leftist education policies and a major milestone on the road to the idiocracy!

That's because teachers are too busy teaching them the 50+ genders and how to hate straight white men. The public school system has become an abomination and the DOE needs to be dissolved along with every other alphabet agency which comprises the permanent unelected administrative state.
