Father of Oxford shooter found guilty of involuntary manslaughter

Every parent who supplies lethal weapons to their kids should assume responsibility. Guns are dangerous. He was a well-trained gun child until he killed.

Absolutely.

Along with every suburban parent everywhere else whose minor child uses a gun to shoot or hurt someone whether accidentally or on purpose.

And while we're at it, every dumbass who leaves his/her gun in their car overnight and it gets stolen then used in a crime, should be charged as being complicit in that crime and if murder is involved, they should get part of that, too.

Also, every dumbass who leaves their house and fails to lock their gun in a safe, which then gets stolen and used in a crime.

Etc, etc, etc.

Time to start holding all gun owners responsible for the mayhem their precious hobby causes.

So far, up until this case, where their kid took a gun to school and assassinated four fellow students, all parents of all races have gotten a pass.

This is the first case in history and hopefully won't be the last.

White, black or otherwise.

So stop acting like there's been some kind of unfair racial preference at play.

There has been 100s of black teens kill people since the arrest of this white couple....not one parent of the killers charged

It would be rare for a parent in Chicago to buy a gun for their child. Usually straw men buyers would have to be resident outside the city, and therefore would be unlikely to be parents of children in Chicago.

You're way off base. Comparing apples to oranges.

These parents were charged, tried and convicted because....

1) they bought the gun for him in spite of his mental issues.

2) didn't secure it in such a way that he couldn't get to it.

3) failed to take the appropriate action when they were called in to the school to talk about his disturbing behavior.

Black street shootings OTOH, tend to involve rival gang members shooting each other. The guns they use are purchased on the street or stolen. The parents of these young gang bangers don't buy the guns they use then leave them unsecured where the kid can get ahold of it. Therefore, there is nothing to arrest them for.

Wait until a black kid takes his father's gun to school and commits a mass shooting before you run your mouth.

On another note, your claim about black parents never being arrested for the gun-related crimes of their kids is just a flat out lie.

Police: Florida girl, 10, arrested on murder charge after shooting woman fighting mom

ORLANDO, Fla. - The 10-year-old girl, who police said shot and killed a woman her mother was involved in a fight with last week in Orlando, has been charged with murder, according to police.

The Orlando Police Department said she was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder Tuesday and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center without incident.

Shortly before midnight on May 30, authorities said the child's mother — Lakrisha Isaac — and Lashun Rodgers got into a fight at an apartment complex on Mercy Drive.

At some point during the fight, officers said Isaac handed her daughter a bag containing a gun. Investigators said the 10-year-old took out the gun and fired two rounds, killing Rodgers.

Isaac was arrested shortly after the incident happened. She's facing multiple charges in the case including manslaughter, aggravated assault with a firearm, and child neglect.

The young girl was previously placed in the custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families as charges were being referred to the State Attorney's Office for review.

"This is one of the most tragic cases I have seen in my 22-year career," said Monique Worrel, State Attorney for Orange and Osceola counties. "Our office has started the process of reviewing this case and will consider all of the facts, including the age of the child, and all of the surrounding circumstances, when making a charging decision."
