So, it looks like Goldman Sachs is going to be a huge part of our gov't. After Trump spent a lot of the campaign going after Hillary for her Goldman Sachs/Wall Street ties. Now, it looks like we have Steve Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary, possibly Gary Cohn to lead OMB, and of course, Bannon put his time in w/ GS.

I guess this is one of those things where we shouldn't have taken him "literally."

Anyone getting that they've been conned yet? How's that whole "drainy swampy" thing goin', anyway?

He went after her hypocrisy regarding Wall Street. The disdain and contempt liberal politicos espouse against Walk Street and 1%ers, all the while she was an elbow rubbing hypocrite.

The spin?

Trump bragged about his own wealth. He bragged about legally using the tax code, as all intelligent people do, to his personal advantage. He was clear to point o Hillary's duplicity concerning Wall Street.
 
This thread title is a bit misleading. It's not "fake" populism, because there's nothing good about populism to begin with. It makes sense for a populist demagogue to be all over the place.

Yeah, the fucker bragged about his wealth, and then failed to self-fund, which was something he had boasted about doing.
 
eh he won with less than half the money of hillary. Thats enough of a blow to the power of money for me.

Regarding the picks. As long as they are not as foul as romney im willing to give him the 4 years. If he doesnt deliver he can get voted out :)

You'd never turn on him for such minor quirks. It's not like you believe in anything, as it is.

? Just because i dont believe in using conservatism or liberalism to solve every single problem doesnt mean i dont believe in anything. I believe in making your team win using whichever works. Im probably the closest to a centrist this board has.

fun fact obama railed against nafta in the 2008 primaries. Admittedly i could have stayed home in 2012 but i dont really believe in not voting. So obama had that and romney was romney so there you go.

if it did i would have been supportive of clinton.

although it would have been better than romney. In general i am in favor of less antagonistic relations with russia given they control half the worlds nukes.

1) You will be hard-pressed to back-up Romney being less effective, given that would have required some hard work on his part.

2) Crooked Hillary clearly departed from Obama in her campaign. He has chosen to completely roll over for Putin. She spoke with highly antagonistic rhetoric. Douchebag Donald is obviously going to have to dig us out of a hole with Russia, although, he need not follow Clinton's lead to accomplish it. The fact that Russia is dangerous never stopped Reagan from getting the job done (although, like Trump, you're probably not a fan of Reagan).
