I'm sorry that Schumer realized he'd get the blame if the government shut down. I was hoping it would, and I was hoping it'd end his career.

Indeed. The only way to stop fascism is to not allocate funds so they can shut down government departments with impunity. I totally am with you, the leftists should have "shut down the government" to "send a message".
