What I don't get is Texas has to import coal but sits on one of the nations largest lakes of natural gas (The Permian basin) but they're going to build 8 more coal burning plants? Seems to me there's a skunk in the wood pile somewhere.
Their concerns are legitimate but the problems with fraking are manageable problems. Actually fraking isn't the problem. That's been proven to be sound technology. The problem have been with leaking well casings and the management (more correctly mismanagement) of petroleumm derived waste which have been exempted from EPA hazardous waste regulations.the way I hear it out here is that too many city folk are worried about fracking, thus the severe limitations on drilling for gas.
I would agree, but too many people out here are just plain ignorant to details when it comes to anything outside their home.Their concerns are legitimate but the problems with fraking are manageable problems.
