Isn't it laughable that the Democratic Party of Sociopathic lying Leftists are taking sides with criminal aliens?
What’s happening in Los Angeles right now is insane. A city that once prided itself on being a sanctuary, first for the homeless and then for drug addicts and then for illegal immigrants, has devolved into a full-blown bonfire of lawlessness. “Mostly peaceful protesters” (cue the eye roll) are spitting in police officers’ faces, looting stores, setting cars on fire and destroying property under the banner of defending “immigrants.” By immigrants, they mean illegal ones. Criminals. People breaking the law.
This is supposedly a response to Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids, which are, to be clear, targeting criminals who shouldn’t be in the U.S. in the first place. This isn’t a controversial policy. President Trump ran on this. The idea that criminal illegal aliens should be deported isn’t fringe; it’s an 80/20 issue. However, the outrage machine doesn’t care about nuance or facts. It just needs something to scream about.
What’s most unbelievable isn’t even the rioters. It is the reactions of law-abiding, everyday Americans who should know better. Scroll through Instagram, and you’ll see it: video after video of suburban moms (yes, mostly moms) posting teary-eyed diatribes about the “injustice” of ICE doing its job. They aren’t angry about the looting or the violence. They’re outraged about … law enforcement?
Many of these viral clips are wildly manipulative. One that has been shared thousands of times features the audio of a screaming child, except it’s not real. It’s from a movie. The implication is that it’s live footage of a baby watching its mother be hauled away by Tom Homan’s finest, and people are buying it. Hook, line and mascara-streaked sinker.
These women keep saying things like, “This isn’t about politics. It’s about human decency. It’s about justice.” Here’s the truth: It is about politics. It’s always about politics, and, yes, it is about justice: justice for the women and children being trafficked, for the communities destroyed by crime and for the immigrants who followed the law. Justice for America, which has every right and responsibility to know who is in our country.
Let me say this as someone who grew up in the Southwest and has seen both sides of this issue: Open borders are not compassionate. They are cruel. Unregulated illegal immigration has fueled the horrific abuse of women and children, empowered cartels and devastated communities on both sides of the border. If you care about women and children, you should care about stopping this.
Let’s not forget an important truth: These ICE raids aren’t random. They don’t just show up at innocent families’ doors for fun. These are targeted efforts, focused on people who have broken the law. Yes, there are legal ways to avoid them. This is also not about amnesty for illegals. Paths to citizenship are in place, and these riots certainly aren’t helping people through those legal paths.
Enforcing immigration law is not cruel or inhumane
