Increase in Job Cuts down again in May, fourth stright month.

Were they to be going up.... Imagine all the blame that the conservatives would be heaping onto Obama right now!

When the monthly increase is decreasing... Thats good news.

It means the economy is begining to pick up steem... Ask any economist!

lol he misspells it again.

Jarod your education, not your intelligence, is reflected by your ability to spell.

At least the first time...

After you've seen it spelled correctly at least once, your intelligence is called into question if you continue to misspell it.

And no offense Jarod, but can I ask what law school you went to?

Very few Tier One or Two law schools are going to graduate a lawyer who cannot spell steam correctly.

ROFLMAO.....

So the Economy is picking up steam because the job LOSSES this month were not as high as the job LOSSES last month?

You do realize that the unemployment rate climbed to 9.4% which is the highest its been since the early to mid 80's?

You do realize that the number of people out of work just INCREASED?

I know in your world more unemployed people means more consumer spending, but in reality that just isn't how it works.

Again.... FALSE.

When the unemployment rate is increasing it is negative, the fact that the increase per month is slowing simply means the decline is slowing down. It does NOT mean the economy is improving. You still have more people out of jobs, which translates to lower consumer spending.

So because it COULD have been worse that somehow makes this negative news 'positive'????

Yes my thoughts as well.
Spin meisters I suppose.

imho we are only half way to the bottom on job losses. In a 2/3 consumer spending based economy that is not good.

I hope you are wrong on your job loss prediction. It would not be pleasant if we are only half way to the bottom.

I think we will bottom around 10%, but will remain in the 8.5-10% range for the next year at least. Unless Obama actually does start re-building the infrastructure as he said he would. That could create a lot of temporary jobs that could boost the economy short term and help the country long term with better roads/bridges/levies etc...

My home state just finished up a study/report that is half control based and half pessimistic based. They say we will lose as many jobs over this fiscal year as we did last year.

You can track how things are going on that front here:

It is much superior to the government website.

The turn has begun.... Thats all I am saying.

Look at an origional copy of the Decleration of Independence befor you start to attack intelegence on the basis of spelling.
