I am very pleased to see that an Aussie actress - Margot Robbie - is playing the role of "Barbie" in the upcoming "Barbie Movie." The Mattel company's "Barbie" doll is an exemplary icon of White, North-Western European female beauty (or, if you like, a fitting expression of the young and beautiful Anglo-Saxon/Nordic woman.
Looks like you Yanks couldn't find a native American girl with good enough looks to play "Barbie" in the "Barbie Movie" - and it was you guys who created and marketed the very first "Barbie" doll in 1959 ! What I am NOT pleased to hear is that dumb-ass Yanks have been slamming her on social media for using her natural Australian accent on the press tour to promote the "Barbie Movie."American idiots have been sending lots of bitchy posts like this...

The American accent that Margot uses in the "Barbie" film could not be from anywhere in particular; for example she could not use a Souther accent or aCalifornia Valley accent or a New York accent as "Barbie had to appeal to all of America. So she had to learn to speak in what is called a "GenAm" accent. "GenAm" is short for "General American. It is the kind generic or "neutral" accent that US news anchors use, for example Kayleigh McEnany and Tomi Lauren are Fox News Anchors who use a "GenAm" accent. Margot said in an interview with "Vogue" magazine that there are some very "definite elements" to master in speaking "GenAm" Which means mastering "GenAm" would have taken a fair bit of effort. So yes, she was clever in being able to pick up "GenAm"; but no, she was not showing off by using her natural Australian accent on the Press tour.
But I'm sure that Margot Margot Robbins is not bothered in the slightest by any of these idiot Americans on social media telling her she must speak in an American accent when she is resident in America.
Finally, on a different note, I am relieved (seriously) that Hollywood managed not to completely "balls up" the "Barbie Movie" like they did with "The Little Mermaid" and "Snow White" which are shot through with woke political bullshit. I mean, at least in the "Barbie Movie", "Barbie" (Margot Robbins) is an exemplar of the young, demure, beautiful-sexy, Anglo-Saxon/Nordic-(North-Western European) -woman. At least they got that right. I mean, the liberal elite in Silicon Valley, could well have pressured Hollywood executives into casting a one-legged, Black, ebonics-sprouting, tranny as "Barbie.," (because "barbie dolls" are potent symbols of "American White supremacists and their intention to unleash campaigns of of domestic terrorism).
