Don't let Congress get distracted! DST must END!

Congress is getting lost in the weeds again and focused on crap that will f*ck things up for us all and make everything more expensive. Keep them on track for this most important of issues...

In this day and age why must we continue to follow the so quaint trend given to us by farmers to set clocks to a different time just because the seasons change? I say NO! We must make DST the standard time for all! Don't let Nancy Pelosi forget because she's too busy showing you $700 worth of ice cream in her freezer or pretending to drink a beer like a normal person....

You bounced around a bit, but I think you are not so much advocating for the end of DST as the making it year round. We no longer wake up as early as we used to, so maybe that is a good idea. We could get some more sunlight.

But it hardly is the most important idea of our age. When I first read the importance you seem to give it, I thought you were being sarcastic, but you really are that fanatical.

Pelosi does not drink alcohol, outside of a small amount for communion. She does not drink beer. Given how thin she is, I doubt she eats $700 worth of ice cream. Maybe trump does, I do not know.

how about Standard Time for all?
summer days are too long, winter nights are too early under DST

Putting them back more in synch with actual sun time is the best balance

I'm not the alt-right. I'm a lefty, one of the few on this forum. You...otoh...have no idea what you are and that means you have no idea who anyone else is.

btw, paraphrasing is not a crime. I think you're just triggered because I cut too close to the bone on that one.

You have this backwards. DST allows the folks coming home from school some daylight to drive in rather than getting dark so early. Most folks complain because kids would be in the dark waiting for a bus, but this can easily be resolved by simply moving the start and end time of school by 1 hour without messing with everyone's clocks.

But it is fun to act like it is very important indeed. And it is something that actually has a large bipartisan support. Brandon could jump in front of this parade and pretend he's the Marshall and look like he really is "bringing us together" for once. It's a win-win scenario for Brandon.

It looks like we are going to make DST permanent, which is probably what you meant. No more switching back and forth yearly. We really do not need Congress' 100% attention. Government does not need to shutdown for a few years as we decide this. This is not that important or complex of an issue.

Pelosi does not drink alcohol. She does have a freezer with ice cream in it, but that is not a distraction from the business of Congress. Damocles is posting lies that are distracting us from the issues.

I've never seen the sense of having kids in school at 7:30 and out at 3:00.....

no I dont have anything "backwards" messing around with solar time is "backwards".
I would like high noon (meaning the sun at it's apogee) to be actually high noon

This idea that everyone drive to work 9-5 is also outdated
Kids going to school in the dark (which they do)is another price to pay
