Dont blame Bush, that was a year and a half ago...!

Really? Maybe he has but you can find plenty of people on the left and the center who would argue against you.

And based on your recent posts to suggest you are looking at anything objectively is quite a stretch.

Just because my view may not be popular, does not mean I think I am wrong.

You need to pay closer attention. There have been reasons cited on his poor leadership in response to this crisis.

It took how long for him to give the order to evacuate the EPA requirement in this case so as to employ the use of the Dutch arms?

Okay, so you can site one example of what you belive to be poor leadership.

I'm going to assume you think most of your opinions are correct. But because you think you are right and many others are wrong doesn't mean you are looking at it objectively.

So based on your logic you were wrong to vote for someone other than President Obama because the majority did vote for him!

No. What I said to you in the post above can apply to me just as easily in certain situations. I usually think my opinions are correct and I know I've made comments based on emotion or partisanship and not objectivity.

What a dumb argument.

You dont believe that someone who was president for 8 years can have an effect that lasts more than 1.5 years?

We are all still suffering daily for the incompetance of GWB and to pretend its President Obamas fault is disengenous.

If you cons want to continue living in fantasy land go do Disney World!

The Cap of damages to Oil Companies was passed when Papa Bush was president! Even he has some blame in this mess! That was 17.5 years ago!

so you think the cap on damages caused this oil spill?

what a dumb argument!

Then, of course you will admit that the 9/11 attack on the WTC was caused by Bill Clinton's incompetance in not doing what was necessary to protect us against terrorist attacks...is that what you're telling me ?

The cap on damages didn't cause any oil spill, moron....nor did lax inspections 18 months ago, you fool...
But the lax inspections for the past 18 months certainly DID have an effect on how these rigs operated NOW, the PRESENT....giving BP a fuckin' award for safety shows makes the Obama Admin. look like assholes, wouldn't you agree...?

Did they actually give BP the award?

And aren't you one of the ones who generally does blame Clinton for 9/11?

The actual award ceremony was "postponed"...BP was one of three finalists..

and I don't blame Clinton for anything other being a draft dodger, a shitty husband and all around asshole...he didn't get in the way of a roaring economy and even did what he could to help fro the most part ....give the dude an b+ as chief exec.

But using the blame game logic of the Dimocrats, they must hold him responsible for what happened for at least 18 months after he left office...just to keep from looking like hypocrites.

When does the buck stop at Obama? Year 3, year 4 cause we are in year too and need leadership not finger pointing. This is why his negative is 69%, he needs to be proactive not reactive and blame shifting.

Not quite....his ratings are dropping because he is NOT doing the full court press to reverse the steaming pile the Shrub left. Mind you, you need a Congress to back you up...and the Dems have been anything but lock step behind Obama (can you say Dixie-crats and Blue Dog Dems boys & girls?). But Obama has been adamant into not playing into the neocon GOP's smear campaign of an elitist bully unwilling to compromise.

Someone needs to wake Obama up...the GOP is NOT about compromise, they are about the PNAC agenda, and that does NOT include change of any sought. Hell, the healthcare reform effort should have clued him in. And let's not even talk about all the little Shrub appointed civil servants and Justice Dept. jokers sprinkled throughout the gov't.

When all is said and done, Obama has inherited 12 years of Reaganomics with a smattering of Slick Willy to boot! If he's angling for a second term to really try and set things straight, that's a lame plan because the Dems have already demonstrated their wishy-washiness...even if they hold onto/obtain the majority in both Houses. Time will tell

I am surprised that Obama went literally more than a year without a press conference, considering that's supposed to be one of his strong points, and because he told everyone he would be constantly communicating to the public.

Ultimately, the public votes out presidents in bad times, regardless of politics. Martin Van "Ruin" inherited Jackson's fucked up economy, and was run out of office. Hoover saw the economy beginning to collapse around him within 7 months of taking office, and was tossed out in 1932. Carter had economic woes in the form of ridiculous stagflation numbers. The misery index was obscene, and so he was ousted.

On the same token, Washington, McKinley, Harding, Truman, and Reagan all inherited shitty economies, and they saw things turn around completely under their administrations. The only one of them that was eventually kicked out was Truman, because of the Korean War.

Reagan didn't turn around a damned thing.....like himself, he pushed a movie version of economics that lasted so long as one stayed in the theater. But once outside in the light of day, Reaganomics fucked this country up royally.....unless you were a millionaire. As Daddy Bush noted, it was "voodoo economics".

Obama is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't...so he choosing his battle sites, as it were. So far, the neocon driven GOP is still on anti-Obama message, and his supporters are really getting pissed.
