Donald Trump's 2024 Rivals Say He Should Get A Pass For Jan. 6 Attack

There is no way in hell, Trump should get a pass on the Jan 6th attack! Of all of Trump's crimes, I want to see him indicted, convicted and sentence on the Jan 6th insurrection?!! Jan 6th 2021, can never happen again in a democracy?!!

The new litmus test in the race for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination is over the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol and former President Donald Trump’s unprecedented efforts to overturn an election he lost.

With federal prosecutors possibly bringing charges against Trump in connection to the insurrection any day now, many of the top candidates seeking to stop him from becoming their party’s presidential nominee have argued that he should get a pass for inciting hundreds of his supporters to storm and trash one of the most recognized symbols of democratic government in the world.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Trump’s leading rival, said last week that the former president should have responded more “forcefully” when the supporters he told to march on the Capitol broke inside the building. But he said that didn’t rise to the level of a criminal indictment.

“I hope he doesn’t get charged. I don’t think it’ll be good for the country,” DeSantis said of Trump, who ignored pleas from his advisers and even his own daughter to tell his supporters to leave the Capitol.

Former Vice President Mike Pence, who has blamed Trump for putting his and his family’s life in danger during the attack, echoed the sentiment.

“While his words were reckless, based on what I know, I am not yet convinced that they were criminal,” Pence said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

They had it organized online, unless in your right-wing cave, it makes sense that so many people showed up with bear spray and clubs. He spent all that time firing them up, and many left and were on their way to "trial by combat" as Rudy said was needed. Oh yeah, as they were marching away he said, be peaceful. That erases all that was said and done. It makes it into a peaceful demonstration.

Political rallies are supposed to fire up the crowd.

That is their purpose, it happens in high school rallies also.

He never once told them to commit violence, it told them to be peaceful.

Seriously, what law did he break that you want to charge him with?

It's not his fault they did what they did, they've already arrested the four people that preplanned this thing, they had no connection to Trump.
