Donald Trump: I’d have let Putin annex Ukraine to end the war

This is Trump's plan to end the war in Ukraine, to sale out Ukraine for Trump's BFF Putin?!!

Donald Trump indicated that he may have “made a deal” allowing Russia to take over parts of Ukraine to end the war if he were president at the time of the invasion.

Mr Trump said it would have been an “at worst” scenario, and would not have happened because Putin would not have dared invade Ukraine at all if he had been in the White House.

The former president told Sean Hannity’s radio show: “Don’t forget, under Bush they take over Georgia, under Obama they took over Crimea. And, under Biden, they’re taking over everything. It looks like they’re going to take over everything, the whole thing, they’re going to go for the whole enchilada, they’re going for everything, that’s what it looks like to me.

“And, under Trump, you know what they took over? They took nothing, Russia. First time, first president in a long time. He [Putin] understood. He would have never done it.”

Mr Trump added: “That’s without even negotiating a deal. I could have negotiated. At worst, I could have made a deal to take over something, you know, there are certain areas that are Russian speaking areas, right, like, but you could have worked a deal. And now Ukraine is just being blown to smithereens.”

trump is a firm believer in appeasement. Two problems with that. First, Putin, like Hitler, will just view appeasement as an inventation to invade more. Second, the Ukrainians are not going to surrender just because trump is chicken.

Most of the "Ukraine" is really Russian.
 
Trump did not have the authority to give another country's land away. To even think he could and would do it is terrible.

Nothing you just said has anything to do with what I said. Most of what you think is the Ukraine is Russian. The only part that isn't historically Russian is the western third and even that has belonged to multiple other kingdoms throughout history. Why are you so fucking ignorant?

All of Ukraine at one point or another belonged to Russia... But that does not make it Russia now.

Poland belonged to Germany and Russia before WWI, so does that mean Germany and Russia invading them at the beginning of WWII should have just been accepted?
 
This increasingly looks like the outcome.....that this war will end up being all for nothing just like Iraq and Afghanistan.
 
Its worth noting that the Chinese claim to believe that neither the West nor the Russians will be able to sustain this war past fall of this year, that an out will be found.
 
There is a super high chance that the outcome of this war that America insisted upon is that America losses support around the world, and the Ukrainians decide that we betrayed them.
