Donald Trump is set to ease concerns among Western allies over the fate of NATO if he wins back the White House this November.

The former US President has recorded an exclusive interview with Nigel Farage on GB News to be aired at 7pm UK time this evening.

Mr Farage told the Daily Express US at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last month that he had wanted to nail down where his friend stood on the NATO alliance after controversial comments made in one of his campaign speeches to get nominated as the Republican candidate.
Trump had told a rally that as President he had told one European ally that he would "invite Russia to invade" if they did not pay their fair share for NATO's cost instead of relying on America.

The comments were spun by critics to mean that a second Trump Presidency would abandon NATO and the defence of Europe against Putin's increasingly aggressive Russia.

NATO is over.....they just got humiliated in Ukraine...and both Europe and 'Merica are dying......rapidly.

Stick a fork in Em.

Ukraine was destroyed ....for nothing....in a war the West demanded that never should have happened...this whole thing is an America war crime.

Putin endorsed Biden. Democrats are the party of Marxist.

The Soviet Union was theoretically Marxist, Breakdown.
The Russian Federation is not Marxist. It's fascist.

It's American trumpanzee mutants who support Putin, not American Marxists.
American Marxists unfortunately don't have a dog in the fight this year.
If they did, I might have voted for it.

Demanding war after years of aggression and refusal to negotiate in good faith....and then getting humilated on the battlefield....is not a good look to say the least.

The West is dying.

You right wingnut's revisionist clap trap constantly reaches new heights. Please explain how Dump's stating in no uncertain terms that when asked by a NATO ally would you protect us if we didn't pay our debts and Russia invaded he replied "NO, let them (Russia) do whatever the hell they want" is "stretching. :|

Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan are making plans to get nuclear weapons if trump is elected.

trump has been all over the map on commitments that have to be beyond question. Being more all over the map will not ease concerns.

We keep coming back to the question over whether he will sacrifice American lives to keep Europe safe. No one believes that if push comes to shove, he will.

Paradoxically, that increases the chance American lives will be sacrificed, and that Europe will not be safe. Europe is kept safe by the commitment, not the actual sacrifice. The sacrifice does not have to be made, because of the commitment.

It also keeps America safe, so again, trump is anti-American.

"Easing" European concerns by going on anti-European news? Really?
