This is nothing new, Republicans care if a candidate served in the Military when their candidate did and the Democrat didn't.
I don't mind that Trump got out of serving, it does not affect his ability to be president. I do care that he delusionally compared his military prep school and the act of chasing girls with military service. That shows a disrespect for the armed services.
I do care about the lack of respect he showed John McCain's military service.
I do care that when we had a draft the wealthy were able to avoid it, while the poor died in massive numbers.
