Solutions are supposed to have a reason to exist

This is a “solution” searching desperately and dishonestly for a problem that doesn’t exsist

Fuck you anti Democracy turd baskets

Be sure to vote!
I live in the bluest state in the country, and that is Taxachusetts. I believe Taxachusetts has 9 congressmen that are all democrats, and 2 senators who are of course democrats. So my voting in
any congressional or senate elections for a Republican would all be for nothing. But I do vote in local elections and for the governor election with the slim hope that there are enough sane people here to finally vote for a Republican governor. And I'll certainly be voting again in 2028 to elect Trump to his 3rd term.

Poll taxes are regressive with respect to income, meaning the higher someone's income is, the lower the tax is as a proportion of income: for example, a $100 tax on an income of $10,000 is a 1% tax rate, while $100 tax on a $500 income is 20%. Its acceptance or "neutrality" depends on the balance between the tax demanded and the resources of the population. Low amounts generally go unnoticed, while high amounts may generate tax revolts such as the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England and the 1906 Bambatha Rebellion against colonial rule in South Africa. However, both of those cases were additional taxation, and not a substitute for other taxes being lowered.
