OTOH, those who really care about children would focus more upon better mental health care than pissing in the wind about guns.
Nonetheless, pissing in the wind only causes a person to get both wet and smell like piss. Democrats have been doing it for 30 years and we're right back where we were in 1992 except with more guns on the streets. My advice is to stop living up to Einstein's definition of Insanity and try something else such as push for better mental healthcare for kids including quarterly computer-based screening.
FWIW, the biggest problem in schools isn't shootings but suicides. Better mental healthcare would help minimize both problems.
Suicide and homicide rates of 10-14 year olds in US. If I included the death rates by "race" AKA culture, there'd be an interesting split with higher suicides among the Euro-American cultures and higher murder rates among African-American cultures. The murder rate difference can be tied to drugs and gangs. The suicide rate is a little more complex.

He's just a symptom of a larger disease the Democrat party faces. That disease is the Left. The harder the Democrats push to the Left, the worse they'll do in elections.
