The Democrats for purely political reasons kept Dianne Feinstein working even on edge of her death bed. She should have been at home enjoying her last few months with her friend and family in the comfort of her own home. Pelosi didn't care about Feinstein and wanted Adam Schiff to have her seat. The big problem was Newsom had already pledged to put a Black Woman in that seat. That means unless Schiff goes Tranny and goes black face he won't get the job. So Pelosi actively pushed Feinstein to complete her term. So Schiff would not have to primary a black woman which is the unforgivable sin for Democrats. Feinstein got singles which went to her brain. She was gone from the Senate for 9 months. When she came back someone said they were glad to see her back. Feinstein thought she had been there the whole time. Then her aides were caught on camera telling Feinstein how to vote in the Senate. So are the Democrats guilty of elder abuse. Did they work her to death for the sake of politics.

More likely Gavin Newsom did so he could name her replacement. Pelosi wanted to keep rolling her into the senate for an telling her how to vote for another year and a few months so she could keep the seat open for Adam Schiff. Besides Dementia Joe has a soft spot for politicians with dementia like him. He endorsed her next Senate run.

Mandatory retirement age for all federal politicians at age 75. If they turn 75 while in office, they are barred from running again.

Simple solution. We have enough talent in this country that we don't need to depend on these geriatric fools.

Feinstein was never going to leave her seat. It gave her reason to get up each day.
 
Had she stepped down she would have been replaced with another Democrat. SHE wanted to keep working.
