I wouldn't say it's a shoe-in for the Democrats, but this will be another referendum on Donald Trump election, so I believe the chance of a TRUMPTARD or Freedom Caucus Republican replacing Santos is highly unlikely!
I look for a very challenging fair fight though, with a lot of voters showing up, in this more-than Conservative but NEVER-TRUMPER district!
And regardless to who wins, they will have to battle it all out again next fall anyway!

There's no guarantee Dems will pick up the seat, but it's not a MAGA district and it traditionally had Democratic representatives in the decade before Santos was elected

And the repubs helped them do this!!! They should have insisted if santos goes, so does jamaal bowman and his fire alarm crime.
In all a difference of two seats. With Santos gone the GOP margin is down from four to three. With a Democratic win it will be down to two. There are rumors circulating that McCarthy may resign, in which case down to one.
