The only thing funnier than an angry Deep State is a fearful Deep State. Fear is what’s driving the Deep State jihad against Attorney General William Barr.
Barr tolerantly sat through hours of DEMOCRAT childishness and insults at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday. His reward was to be labeled, a lawbreaking, dishonest, obstructing hack by DEMOCRATS and their sympathizers in the activist media.
- Nattering Nancy Pelosi publicly accused Barr of lying to Congress, which, she added, is “considered a crime.”
- Jerrold “No-Nads” Nadler said he will move to hold Barr in contempt unless the attorney general acquiesces to his unprecedented demands.
- “Obama’s Homie” Comey lamented that President Trump has “eaten” Barr’s “soul.”
- Fauxcahontas demands the attorney general resign.
- Eric Swallow-well wants him impeached.
The attorney general delivered the transparency DEMOCRATS demanded: He quickly released a lightly redacted report. What do DEMOCRATS have to object to?
Some of this is frustration. DEMOCRATS foolishly invested two years of political capital in the idea that Mueller would prove President Trump had colluded with Russia, and Mueller left them empty-handed.
Some of it is personal. Some DEMOCRATS resent Barr because won’t cower before them or apologize for doing his job.
Some is bitterness that Barr is performing like a real attorney general, making the call against obstruction-of-justice charges rather than sitting back and letting DEMOCRATS promiscuously promulgate Mueller’s laughable obstruction innuendo.
But most of it is fear.
Barr made news in that Senate hearing, and while the activist press pretended not to notice, many DEMOCRATS did. The attorney general said he’d already assigned people at the Justice Department to assist his investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe. He said his review would be far-reaching—that he was obtaining details from congressional investigations, from the ongoing probe by the department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, and even from Mueller.
Barr said the investigation wouldn't focus only on the fall 2016 justifications for secret surveillance warrants against Trump team members but would go back months earlier.
He also said he’d focus on the infamous “dossier” concocted by Hillary's pet firm Fusion GPS and their paid hit-man, slimy Limey Steele, on which the FBI relied for their FISA warrant.
Barr acknowledged the fact that the discredited dossier itself could be Russian disinformation, a possibility he described as not “entirely speculative.”
He also revealed that the department has “multiple criminal leak investigations under way” into the disclosure of classified details by Obama-era operatives.
Do not underestimate how many powerful people in Washington have something to lose.
Among them:
- Former and current leaders of the law-enforcement and intelligence communities.
- DEMOCRAT Party pooh-bahs who paid a foreign national (Steele) to collect dubious information (from shady Russian sources) and sell it to Obama’s FBI.
- Obama government officials who misused their positions to target a presidential campaign.
- The illegal leakers.
- The activist media.
The attacks on Barr are an effort to force him out, to prevent information from coming to light until 2020.
As another anti-Trump “insurance policy”, the coordinated campaign of projection works as a preemptive smear, diminishing the credibility of his findings by priming the gullible to view him as a partisan hack.
That’s why Barr isn’t alone in getting slimed.
Hacktivist Natasha Bertrand even penned a hit piece on respected IG Michael Horowitz. It’s clear the inspector general is asking the right questions. Her Politico attack article acknowledges he’s homing in on Steele’s “credibility” and the dossier’s dubious “veracity,” and then goes on to provide a desperate defense of the slimy Limey and his discredited concoction by quoting "unnamed sources" who supposedly "deride the quality” of the Horowitz probe, and (hilariously) are said to claim the inspector general is not “well-versed” in core Justice Department functions.
“We have to stop using the criminal-justice process as a political weapon,” Barr said. That worthy goal increasingly looks to be a reason Barr accepted this unpleasant job.
Stopping this abuse requires understanding how it started.
The liberal White Globalist establishment and the “journalists” friendly with it, don’t want that to happen, and so has made it their mission to destroy Barr.
The attorney general seems to know what he’s up against, and remains undeterred. That’s the sort of will necessary to drain the swamp at the Justice Department and the FBI.
