WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (Reuters) - A Democratic member of the Federal Communications Commission said on Thursday that the Republican-led agency is seeking to bully major U.S. broadcasters by reinstating a series of complaints.
FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez said a Paramount-owned (PARA.O), opens new tab CBS "60 Minutes" interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris did not violate commission rules and said other complaints were improperly reinstated against Walt Disney's (DIS.N), opens new tab ABC and Comcast's (CMCSA.O), opens new tab NBC.

"There's no good reason to reinstate them other than to bully the broadcasters into reporting in the way that they want them to," Gomez said. "Our licenses authority is being weaponized to curtail the freedom of the press."
