Democrat faces corruption charges

What does this have to do with Katrina, is this guy charged with something to do with his performance during the hurricane?

Where did Obama come into this discussion? Sure - he owns everything he has done wrong, which is a lot. I'll clue you up on something. I'm not a water-carrier like you. Obama has been a terrible President, imo, but he wasn't being discussed on this thread.

He was, though.

Bush was being discussed on the thread before I posted.

I've got a hunch you're in over your depth here.

Just like the people of Louisiana were when they relied on their Democrat-controlled local government during and after Katrina?

Nothing to say on the thread topic - Ray Nagins' corruption charges?

The MS comparison is a strawman. Completely different circumstance. I would defy anyone to argue that it's apples to apples w/ what happened in New Orleans w/ the levvies.

The day before Katrina hit, Bush assured local authorities that the feds were ready for anything. They weren't; people were stranded for days. And what happened w/ FEMA is one of the starkest examples of cronyism that you'll ever see in government, on any level.

The proper reaction to all of what happened with Bush, FEMA, the local authorities, et al. should be nothing less than outrage. It's real partisan hackery to continue to try to defend what went on.

Nothing you typed rings true except that Bush did warn and indicate they were prepared for the worst. The worst appears to have been worse than anticipated.

It was the deadliest disaster ever experienced by a major city. Of course you judge Bush based on media hype and efforts to politically impugn his administration prior to midterm elections.

Because of the massive flooding, and weather conditions, it was extremely difficult to get aid in as quickly as desired. But dunces always presume to know everything and think that Government is only an infallible behemoth when their “deciders” are in charge.
