Harvey Weinstein 's former assistant has claimed he ripped out her tampon before forcing himself on her orally in a shocking sex attack.

In a harrowing account, Mimi Haleyi claims the 65-year-old DEMOCRAT mega-bundler "pulled her tampon out" and "orally forced himself" on her.

Ms Haleyi worked as an assistant on a Weinstein Company production in 2006 and says she was left feeling "disgusted" by the act she claims happened at his home in Soho.

"I said, 'I am on my period. There is no way this is going to happen.' He wouldn't take no for an answer and took me into a bedroom that looked like a kids bedroom with drawings on the wall," she said.

"He was extremely persistent and physically overpowering. He then orally forced himself on me, while I was on my period. He even pulled my tampon out," she continued.

"I was mortified. I was in disbelief and disgusted. I would not have wanted anyone to do that to me, even if that person had been a romantic partner.

"I remember Harvey rolling over and saying, 'Don't you feel like we're so much closer now?'"

Ms Haleyi said she told a few friends and decided to come forward now in support of other women who have been subjected to sexual assault or sexual harassment by the leading DEMOCRAT fundraiser.

The movie mogul has not responded to Ms Haleyi's claims.
