Here is the actual indictment

https://www.scribd.com/document/363001667/Manafort-gates-Indictment-Filed-and-Redacted#from_embed

It's all about money laundering and not disclosing foreign bank accounts, from manly 2005-2015.

No mention of trump
No mention of collusion
No mention of the campaign of 2016.

Now, I know this isn't something you guys want to think about, but that's literally what this entire thing was started over.

Predictable liberal reaction in this thread:

"Just wait, any day now...soon they will flip on drumpf, surely it is almost the end for him!"

Caged birds do sing on occasion.

Perhaps you'd like to remind us about the arrest of Papadopoulous? That right there is a can of whoop ass.

I've noticed this is the only thing liberals have been able to cling to today. That's pretty pathetic. If you actually read the charge against him, it's ticky-tack bullshit about him "making false statements". He shouldn't have lied, but he was a foreign policy advisor, and nothing he did in that capacity was actually against the law.

Again, to repeat, he's not charged with setting up meetings, or meeting spooky russians, or anything of that nature.

So again, no collusion, just a bullshit charge of him deflecting.

Here is the statement of fact:

I love these unfinished claims.. Papadopoulous met looking for OP research on Hillary.
Where is the collusion? Collusions require a quid pro quo.

Clinton paid Fusion thru a law firm to dig up dirt.
Steele used Kremlin operatives and ex-operative to get the (fake) dirt..

what standard are we using here? partisanship Is all I see

and again, pappy was not charged with collusion, or meeting spooky russians. He was charged for making a false statement. THAT'S what liberals are clinging to today, as they already know the manfort thing was a complete nothing. burger.

Wishful thinking thread. That or limited vision. "Gee willikers, what would be a really neat way to do some foreign lobbying work in the US? Well, maybe if I helped get the most important person in the world elected and got on his staff I could be pretty successful lobbying for my clients!" Hey Putin, Please fund my Nevis shell corp and I'll be needing an American Express black card in in the name of Fuck You America Holdings, LLC I formed there, a wholly owned subsidiary of "lap up my lies, Repukes, consolidated enterprises"

I read the plea agreement. Meeting Russians was not charged. attempted conspiracy was not charged.

The charge was impeding an investigation by lying ( false statements) - isn't this basically what Martha Stewart was sent to jail for?
Was Martha conspiring with Russian? ( this is so silly to make any more out of it then what it is)
++

Also if you read the Statement of facts -written by the SC- the motivation was improving US/Russian relations

Perhaps you'd like to remind us about the arrest of Papadopoulous? That right there is a can of whoop ass.

Is it?

Three days after Donald Trump named his campaign foreign policy team in March 2016, the youngest of the new advisers sent an email to seven campaign officials with the subject line: “Meeting with Russian Leadership - Including Putin.”

The adviser, George Papadopoulos, offered to set up “a meeting between us and the Russian leadership to discuss US-Russia ties under President Trump,” telling them his Russian contacts welcomed the opportunity, according to internal campaign emails read to The Washington Post.

The proposal sent a ripple of concern through campaign headquarters in Trump Tower. Campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis wrote that he thought NATO allies should be consulted before any plans were made. Another Trump adviser, retired Navy Rear Adm. Charles Kubic, cited legal concerns, including a possible violation of U.S. sanctions against Russia and of the Logan Act, which prohibits U.S. citizens from unauthorized negotiation with foreign governments.

But Papadopoulos, a campaign volunteer with scant foreign policy experience, persisted. Between March and September, the self-described energy consultant sent at least a half-dozen requests for Trump, as he turned from primary candidate to party nominee, or for members of his team to meet with Russian officials.

Among those to express concern about the effort was then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who rejected in May 2016 a proposal from Papadopoulos for Trump to do so.

And they refuse to accept the fact that Manafort himself rejected little pappy's overtures to get a meeting with muh Russians.

yeah, he really doesn't. again, this is all stuff years before he even worked with (and promptly was fired by trump).

he did work with the podesta group though. And for some reason tony podesta stepped down today. weird.
