The talk around DC is that Cruz will accept the Teflon Don's offer to be his VP.
Cruz would lose a lot of his loyal support because accepting the VP with Trump would be the ultimate sell out of core principles. I know I'd lose a lot of respect for Cruz if he did and still wouldn't vote for Trump.
I heard it earlier today.![]()

not to mention cruz scares away all the independents and crossover democrats
Democrats wouldn't vote for Cruz anyway because he has very different core principles and beliefs, which I'm ok with.
which is why he will lose. Out of all of them , even jim gilmore, cruz had the least chance in the general.

In my opinion there are more conservatives and right leaning people in this country than democrats and progressives. Cruz would have won all conservative and republican votes and many independents that lean right. If a progressive person crosses over to vote for you then most likely you lack core principles that make you a conservative or republican or you ride the fence to win and then go against half your voters which still means you lack principles and in that case integrity.
but your opinion is wrong ;(
No not really. Cruz would have needed to be the nominee for my opinion to be proven right or wrong. What is true though is that if Trump appeals more to crossover democrats than conservatives then what does that say about his core principles? As a republican you'd think that would raise some flags.

that conservatives want things that are different from the goals of the repub party.
May I ask what your core beliefs are on major political and social issues?
nationalism mostly. basically whatever works for american interests. so currently protectionist on trade (which would be the original republican stance on it before the neocons and cruz took over) and strong military. I believe you should be hesitant to get into a war but once dragged into it get it over with as fast as possible civilian casualties be damned. Also while i have some opinions on social issues like abortion or gay marraige i beleive it should be left to th states as each state has a different culture at this point.
