Gazans cheer as ceasefire between Israel and Hamas takes hold​

Armed Hamas fighters drove through the southern city of Khan Younis, with crowds cheering and chanting, despite an almost three-hour delay in the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, which follows 15 months of devastating conflict.

Hamas policemen, dressed in blue police uniform, deployed in some areas after months of trying to keep out of sight to avoid Israeli airstrikes.

People who had gathered to cheer the fighters chanted "Greetings to Al-Qassam Brigades" - the armed wing of Hamas.

"All the resistance factions are staying in spite of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu," one fighter told Reuters, referring to the armed wing.

The resilience of the Palestinians is legendary- and their status as fighters for their own homeland is growing by the week.
146 countries already recognize their state, along with the UN and the Holy See. More are due during 2025.

Nothing that Trump will do to increase their suffering will be accepted by the international community or the world courts. The solution is for the Jews to withdraw to their legal borders.

There's military force- that's the brutality that you're aligned with- and then there's moral force. The former might be victorious in the short term- but check out history's fallen military empires.

"Morals" are luxury beliefs.

"History's fallen military empires" fell after weaklings within developed a "conscience", IIRC.
