And what does the President do, go right out and proved it by getting caught in a flat out fabrication in an attempt to rationalize why he failed to properly acknowledge the deaths of four killed American soldiers

Truth.

McCain understands his own mortality, and is seemingly striving to establish a legacy of saying what he believes is the right thing rather than what works politically. The President has already remarked with threats, but even he knows better than to attack McCain personally at this stage in the Senator's life
 
I don't think the dump is that smart, but then he doesn't need to be... When he calls him some childish and stupid names they will cheer...
