Conservatives can't campaign on policy

Because every single one of their policies fail.

That's why Chip Roy is screaming on the floor of the House that Republicans have no accomplishments:

And why Andy Biggs whined to Newsmax:

“We have nothing. In my opinion, we have nothing to go out there and campaign on,” the Arizona Republican said on the conservative network Newsmax. “It’s embarrassing.”
-Andy Biggs

Conservative policy ALWAYS FAILS.

ALWAYS.

Every time.

No exceptions.

There are few conservatives left in the GOP, the principles they stood by, or at least said they stood by, have all been tossed aside by Trumpism, they often throw the word around, but it is not the party of Reagan any longer, it belongs to Trump

And Biggs is one of the last that can complain about getting anything accomplished, he is a lock step member of the Freedom idiocy whose only gioal is to just f*ck up as much as they can for political purposes. He’ll campaign on the Fox issues, armageddon on the border and impeach Biden

Actually, that Republicans have done nothing in the way of creating more government is a great thing. I hope they continue to not expand government or make new rules and regulations simply because they can.

Just the “done nothing” would have been enough, and you are correct, by design, however there are issues and problems that have to be addressed, and doing nothing just makes the situation worse

And the expressed distaste for expanding Government is a perfect example of the GOP dropping Reagan for Trump, Trump did expand the Government, especially the one thing that would drive a real conservative over the cliff, greatly expanded the power of the Presidency

The GOP is nothing BUT Conservatives, which is why it can't come up with a single thing of significance it has done without running to Democrats for help.

"Vote for us! We mostly do nothing! And the few, rare things we do always fail!"

Modern rank and file Republicans don't even try to understand complex political concepts
and thus have no real ideology on which to base their policy positions.

Their only wish is to oppose smarter and better educated Democrats,
this in apparent retaliation for how we look down and belittle them.

But how can we help it?

Because every single one of their policies fail.

To my knowledge over the past 2 years or so I haven't seen anything really coming out of the GOP other than culture war fare. That and endlessly complaining about the Southern Border but I don't know if they have any meaningful legislation that might ameliorate the problems. (And, no, it isn't meaningful legislation to simply hate on the undocumented folks trying to cross the border...that's not a "policy")

I think the word "try" is extraneous there. My feeling is that the best word is "can't".

No, they've learned what Facebook as learned. People will pay attention to the most base and stupid stuff and lap it up like a dog with its own vomit. They learned even before they had Trump that "content" is no longer valuable property. Now "outrage" is the coin of the realm and they are leveraging that like the utter pros they are.

This is actually a fair critique of the Left. As the poles organize and we become more polarized the Left is getting as nasty about the Right as the Right has been about the out-of-touch Lefites.

But how can we help it?

We can help it by understanding what it is they see and why they prefer the "strongman" approach to governance. We need only look back 90 or so years to the 1930's to see exactly the gameplan here. The stressors, both real and perceived, and the automatic responses, many of which were awful and turned into nightmares. Now we are reliving much of it as we speak and we seem to be incapable of learning from the last go-round.

That's because every Conservative is guaranteed to be the biggest, dumbest, stupidest fucking moron until the next one comes along.

Stupid people are never going to have good ideas.
